The first step of mitosis is that the DNA molecules copy themselves out of proteins inside the nucleus. Then after they have copied each other the DNA, the cell makes two spindles out of protein bunches of strings. After that the spindles move the cell, each moving their own DNA and break the X they had made. At the same time, the nuclear membrane breaks apart. When the DNA reaches the ends, new nuclear membranes form around it. At the moment the cell membrane pinches into two in the middle. Finally, the two sides separate and two new smaller cells form. That is the process of mitosis.
Each of the steps has a name. There are four stages: prophase, metaphase, anaphase, and telophase. Each of them has a job. Prophase is when the DNA copies each other out of proteins inside the nucleus. That is when the DNa gets the copies of each other. Interphase is another phase which is the normal cell. Metaphase is when the spindles come together in the middle and grab the chromatids. You can remember that because middle and metaphase. The next step is the anaphase. The anaphase is where the spindles grab their own DNA and go to opposite sides. You can see anaphase in a root. After anaphase, is telophase. Telephase is where new nuclear membrane breaks apart. After the DNA reaches the ends, new nucler membranes form around it. Cytoskinesis is the last thing. Cytoskinesis is where the cell membrane pinches into two and makes two new smaller cells. These were the phases of the process mitosis and the function each one has.

Things that are alike from bacteria, plant, and animal cells are that they all are part of the cell. The bacteria is the cell that needs to be wasted, the plant cell is the cell that photosynthesis occurs, and the animal cell is the cell that doesn't have a cell wall. Also some other things that are the same about them are that they all have an important in a cell. Also other things that are the same is that they all need to have something wasted in each one. Also they all have a cell membrane. The plant cell is the cell that has the cell wall, the animal cell is the one that doesn't have the cell wall, and the bacteria is the one that is similar to germs.
Things that are not the same of all these cells is that the plant cell has a cell wall and the other cells don't have one. Also the animal cells has a nucleolus and the plant cell doesn't have one. The bacteria is a cell that doesn't always help the cell and the plant and animal do have things that can help the cell. Also something different about the cells is that they all have a different job to do. In the plant cell photosynthesis is occured and the other 2 cells don't have photosynthesis. The bacteria is a cell that is like a germ, but can do good things to the cell. The animal cell is the one that photosynthesis does not occur, but it does have some useful things. That the comparison and the difference between bacteria, plant, and animal cells.

In Mrs. Poole's class, we did the edible cell project. What I learned was the functions of each organelle. I also learned what the organelles do and why they are important to the cell. I learned that the nucleus is the brain of the cell. I also larned that the nucleolus is the black circle inside the nucleus and it has proteins in it. I also learned that the DNA is found in the nucleus also known as the chromatin. I also learned what the mitichondrion does. The mitochondrion is the powerhouse of the cell. The mitochondrion is the one that releases the energy for the cell. I also learned that the vacuole is a sac in which water and other nutrients are stored. I also learned that the ribosomes produce proteins for the cell. The lysosomes are the organelles that have enzymes and digest the wastes that the cell doesn't need. I also learned that the cell membrane is the barrier that lets things go in or out of the cell.
I think that the science teachers should do it again because the students can learn what the cell parts can do and why are they are important. I also think they should do it because the teachers can ask the students questions about the organelles. I also think that the teachers should do it because they can ask all the students two questions about why is the organelle important and what the function of the organelle is. I also think that the science teachers should do it again because the project can help the students learn about the cell parts and how it looks like. My last reason they should do the cell project again is because students can learn basic things about the cell. That is what I learnd in the edible cell project and why should the science teachers do it again.
